reissue - cass mccombs, singer-songwriter born in northern california in 1977 and currently residing somewhere in that state, is set to release wit’s end, his fifth-and-a-half album and third on domino, on april 11th. the result of two years recording in various homes and studios in california, new york, new jersey and chicago, wit’s end was produced by cass with ariel rechtshaid, with whom he also created catacombs.sounds that conjure the colors purple and black, this is his darkest record to date. it seems he is going deeper into the mania of a man buried alive inside his self-made catacombs, banging the stone walls, crying to be let out, and enjoying the quiet away from the outside world. however, he is not a man afraid of his own shadow, for in this environment of complete darkness, no shadows can be cast. this is a world of total feeling. here, words become a catalyst away from the slavery of arbitrary thought and toward feeling.

nice price deal !!! we are very proud to announce the debut release of a truly outstanding new musical project called >the goon show<. not much is known about this project, as the tracks reached us totally out of the blue, so to speak. the project consists of two experienced electronic wizards situated in berlin and is the first joint effort in the music world. their debut 12 inch features the wonderful and almost impossible to categorize track >angel band<, or as american music journalist philip sherburne put it:> the production on is really spongy and weird and enveloping, and the voice works so well with it, , this is really good, and i dont say that lightly!<. further admirers and supporters are the djs and producers osunlade, efdemin, adultnapper and many others. >angel band< comes in three versions, an acappella, a dub and the blasting original. as a bonus track, which is not just a b-side, but would be an amazing a-side on many other releases comes the beautifully melancholic >the grass<, of which our dear friend aksel schaufler aka superpitcher has said: >i love it and was in tears while listening to -the grass- !< . limited copies, get them while they re out there!
